Second Annual Costume Contest
Grab your hat and tug on your tutu! The Brea 8K Classic Costume Contest is back!
Prizes will be awarded for best individual, partner, and group costumes (based on originality, overall theme and craftsmanship), so get ready to exercise your creativity!
8K PRIZE DIVISIONS
Individual costume (just 1 person) - $50 prize
Partner costume (only 2 people) - $75 prize
Group costume (3 or more people) - $100 prize
Costumes will be judged between 6:30 and 7:15 AM in an area just south of Registration (near Olive Garden). Judging criteria includes originality, overall theme* and craftsmanship.
How to enter the Costume Contest (and be eligible for prizes!):
- Become a registered racer.
- Send ONE person with a race bib (either individual entry, or one from partners or group) to register at the judging table. This person will be Team Captain, and may provide a name for the entry.
- Partners and groups must come together to be judged. (Team Captain must have race number visible at this time.)
Be present at the post-race awards ceremony (and still have the entering bib) to win.
*Please remember that this is a "family-friendly event" when selecting or creating costumes.
